1. One preference, stored locally

Fjordvia uses no third-party tracking or advertising cookies. We store your choice about anonymous analytics in a single preference item in your browser's localStorage, under the key fjordvia:consent. This preference never expires and is never shared with anyone.

Besides this preference item, the site only uses functional storage it needs to work: your chosen language (nordicholidays_locale) and an anonymous owner UUID (ownerId) so you can save and revisit itineraries. We don't ask consent for these — they are strictly necessary to provide the service.

2. What does this preference item store?

• One field: your consent choice — accepted, declined, or not asked yet. Nothing else.
• Your anonymous owner UUID — a random identifier that links itineraries to your browser. It is kept in a separate item (ownerId) and by itself identifies no person.

3. What do we measure only after consent?

Only if you accept, we record anonymous clicks on outbound partner links (car rental, accommodation, activities) via our /api/track endpoint. For each click we store:

• the link type (e.g. accommodation, car rental, activity);
• the city and language in which the link appeared;
• your anonymous owner UUID, so the same click isn't counted twice;
• in our API's server logs, also your IP address, for security and abuse prevention.

If you decline, nothing is recorded: no click event ever leaves your browser. The site works fully without this analytics data.

4. Withdrawing or changing consent

Your choice is never final. The button below deletes the stored preference item; the next time you open the site we ask for your preference again. Declining stops all analytics immediately.

Your choice has been cleared. We'll ask again on your next visit.
